The Fire Civilization's Melt Warriors

From deep within cracked volcanic earth, a new race of creature appeared in the Fire realm. Their form resembling that of the smaller Dragonoids somewhat, yet possessing an innate tolerance and mastery of heat rivaling even that of the mighty Rock Beasts. Anything nearby quickly learned that, predictably, they were just as violent and agressive as nearly any other race of the Fire Civilization. Having no name, and not bothering to speak before simply obliterating most things in their path, they were quickly dubbed the 'Melt Warriors'...

Despite their aggressive nature, they were found to behave much like Rock Beasts, being very territorial, and surprisingly reactionary. In most cases, their immense power is tempered by the fact that they only use their abilities either to suppress their opponents or react to some perceived threat. Some of the younger ones react so rashly to the appearance of other creatures that they tire themselves out in their frenzy, and then must rest a bit whilst determining if the new arrival is friend or foe.

Since they are not numerous, and their explosive rages can usually be avoided by any other creature with a fair amount of sense, these creatures have found their place, on occasion, in the bands of nomadic life that wander the seared lands of Fire.
